re:re:re: The Last Move
So, I can't make this up, but I have moved the blog - again. Back to Bearblog in fact. I "think" this would be the 3rd move this year, and frankly I am getting a bit tired of my habit of moving things around.
I think that Ghost is great, but somehow it just doesn't feel right for me after all. It feels that there's too much to click around, somehow to heavy or too much and customizing the themes isn't that fun either. And since the latter is something that I bizarrely enjoy doing quite a bit, this had been certainly of concern.
I have tried quite a few themes, but nothing really worked for me. In fact I bought I my latest theme just last week, but still it didn't feel right. That had been the final straw and thus something had to be done.
As my old laptop recently died on me, I also couldn't be bothered to resurrect my Hugo site from the backup therefore decided to go back to Bearblog again.
It's nice, fast, simple and feels the closest to using a plain text blog as I can get.
As you can guess, there is now quite a bit of importing going on and you can expect the theme, or at the least to color theme to change, on a daily basis for a while (currently am using Robert Birmings Bearly theme for those interested, Kudos to Robert for building this).
