Saddened to learn that Lee Konitz passed away this week. Lee always had been one of my favourite alto-players and I especially I enjoyed his work with Mulligan, Marsh, Miles and of course his recording "Motion" with Elvin Jones on drums. Also my first-ever-visited Jazz concert was the Lee Konitz/Frank Wunsch Quartet.
